Michael J. O’Halloran holds a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution from the McGregor School at Antioch University, and a Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He is a mediator and faculty member at Bentley University. Subjects include Negotiation, Leadership, Organizational Behavior and Interpersonal Relations. Additionally, Michael has served as a Conflict Resolution Trainer at Brandeis University.
Michael’s public career includes over 25 years in elected and appointed office. In addition, he has held senior policy-making positions with the Massachusetts Office of the State Auditor and the Massachusetts State Treasurer’s Office. In the private sector, Michael is the Principal Practitioner of Consensus Services specializing mediation, coaching and community conflict management and is the author of “Lend Me Your Ear- A Guide To Getting Heard and Understood In The Public Arena”. Jill Scott-Devitt is a Licensed, independent Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working in hospital, school, child welfare and outpatient services. She specializes in working with individuals and families struggling with eating disorders, addictions, relational conflicts, anxiety and depression. Her blended therapeutic approach is practical, active, change-oriented and focuses on personal effectiveness. Ms. Devitt utilizes dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, interpersonal and relational therapy.
Josh Hoch, an associate member of the Consensus Services team, is a professional mediator and instructor with significant dispute resolution experience. Josh is Director of Mediation & Arbitration Services at MWI . Since 1996, he has mediated family, divorce, parenting, child support, never-married parents, housing, and eviction cases with many organizations. In addition to his mediation work, Josh also leads advanced divorce, eviction, and corporate mediation trainings. As Director of Mediation & Arbitration Services at MWI, Josh manages cases referred from individuals, companies, EAP’s, therapists, attorneys, the Massachusetts BMC & District Court Departments, the Probate and Family Court Department, and the Land Court Department of Massachusetts Trial Court System. Josh is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Chapter of AFCC from 2005 to 2012. Josh has been featured in the Boston Globe and on the award-winning New England newsmagazine TV show “Chronicle” where he provided information about marriage, divorce and the use of divorce and family mediation in Massachusetts.
